Supporting the troops

"Hey Ken, I am at the church tonight and your plaque is at the front of the church where it has been since last week. It usually sets in the foyer in the area where we put all the goodies we send to the troops. ...it is pretty awesome to see your picture in that nice plaque!" Paula Largent

"It is the least I could do to let your church family know how much it means that they think of us and pray for us. Many times those packages would come in the driest of situations and provided much physical and emotional comfort." Ken Vargas

Thank You For Praying! No Lymphoma!

"Dr. Tibbels' nurse finally called late yesterday about results of the catscan of my
throat.  He said all the glands in neck were clear...

The church's prayer for me Sunday was the greatest I have ever experienced.
I believe the Lord is working in this and that I am healed.

Thanks for your standing with us in this.  Jean"

TFH Youth Bonfire Night

Tonight we lit a fire.  It was big and so hot that you had to shield your eyes from the heat just to get close enough to roast your marshmallow.  When we were full of hotdogs and smores we played a game.  As the fire lit up the glowing faces we turned our attention to The Word of God.  We talked a bit about what the Apostle Paul meant when he said "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. " (Gal 2:20)

There were many great answers.  Letting Jesus live through you and no longer living for yourself is the greatest battle on earth for the believer.  The devil is a defeated foe but our flesh must die daily.

One of the youth accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  Choosing to renew their commitment to Jesus instead of living for them self.

Another came up to me afterwards and said, "I've been to a lot of bonfires but this was the best one ever!"

Holy Spirit lit a fire.
