ADVANCING THE GOOD NEWS

The Good News is that by God’s grace (His ability) He gave His Son to take our punishment for sin.  He died in our place so that we could receive His place in Father God’s family – believers are no longer sinners but now we are the righteousness of Christ and we always triumph in Christ Jesus!  We have power to live victoriously. (2 Cor. 5:21, 2:14)

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a second experience that is available for all believers that causes His power to be easily manifested in our lives.  As we grow in Christ and filled with His Spirit we become less and He becomes more.  We minister in the power of Holy Spirit confirming God’s good news as we speak it.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”  Acts 1:8 (NLT)

It has been our privilege to support the good news being shared throughout Wise County and the world.  As our church gives tithes and offerings we support many ministries that share the good news.

The three main ones that receive monthly support from our church body are:  Christian Friends of Israel, Wise Choices (a ministry to distressed pregnant women) and David and Damaris Beam (missionaries to Guatemala.)
