It is always good to visit you and to fill you with some information about the ministry. Thank you for your prayers and financial support for the ministry. Without your cooperation, it would be impossible to carry such a task.
We are hanging in there with Jesus trying to fulfill our calling on a daily basis. Thank God for his help and thank God for bring you on my way. Since he has brought you on our way the ministry never ceases to grow and more people have been reached spiritually and materially. Your prayers are very vital for us.
We have been having several outreach teams who came to us for the past three weeks and they are a blessing. ...Their purpose was to distribute food to the people.

My wife and I we have this week off. Pastor Tom and wife and Carold Fraker gave us money to go to a resort for two days. Now we're at Indigo Club that used to be Club Med. My wife and I are having a great time. I thank God for such opportunity for if we were not Chritians it would not be possible for us to come to a place like that. It doesn't look like us or we do not fit. If I know you today and vice versa it is because of our acquaintance with Jesus. Same thing with Cayman Island experience. Only in Jesus. Those who do not know Jesus do not know what they are losing.

We have not used Haiti power since February. As I told you it has become too expensive and it seems the company takes people as idiots. They keep sending their bills with no details on the consummation. They just put the amount they want you to pay and no quantity of kilowatts used for the month. In February they sent a bill for 125,000 gourds equivalent to about $3,000 USD. I have asked them to disconnect me but they don't. maybe if I don't pay my bill they will have a good reason to cut me off. At the present we just used the generator at night for guests and when we need to make copies. In the meantime our inverter and batteries charge up. We thank God for soon we are going to have Sun energy on the compound. Nothing is impossible for God. Thank you all for your contribution to that.
Right now there is a shortage of fuel in the country. Yesterday I was going to send a truck to the northern Dominican Border to buy fuel but our accountant ...and ...he was able to buy 150 gallons of diesel fuel in the name of this organization for us. We are tryng to manage this for the transportation of our guests. Beofre I was wondering if I should let them come but now we have fuel for the vehicles. I don't know how long the fuel problem is going to last. One told me that he paid up to 400gourds equivalent to $10.00 USD for gaz.

Otherwise you and I would not have known each other. What a loss it would be! I don't think I could afford not to know you for you are such a blessing.

Knowing you have brought such joy and satisfaction in my life. I don't think my life would be complete without you. I keep telling my wife, I would be darned without her. She has the gift of encouragement. When I was sick to death two years ago, she did not give up on me though the doctors had given no hope. That is why I keep telling her I love her to DEATH. Ha Ha. Laugh out loud.

I have to apologize for a mistake I made in my previous email. The number of souls that got saved is 81 instead of 131. I did not hear well on the phone. Maybe I start losing my hearing. I need to tell my wife that so she doesn't upset with me when I don't do what she asks me to do. Do you think it's a good idea? Ha Ha. Here is Pierre again!

I have other good news for you: Among the 81 new converts is a witchdoctor whose name is Model. He is very young. Last year he came during a revival we held there in paul and gave his heart to the Lord but his wife get very upset, therefore it didn't work. This time Pastor Evens went with Ralph who recently converted from witchcraft. He told them that he was not ready. One night while they were still there, Model come to wake them up and said that since they had talked to him, he could not sleep. He had bad dreams. He saw that he was dead and in great torment. He came to give his heart to Jesus.
An Angry wife:
This is the most choking news about that: His wife got really angry when Pastor Evens went to burn the things that they had in the consultation room.Usually it is the custom when someone get converted for him to turn every thing that he was given in witchcraft to be burned. She stoned them. She took every thing and kick them out. On Saturday afternoon they come down because they were upthere for a week. Model decided to go with them to the mission in Lacroix because his wife is torturing him and he is afraid that the same don't happen to him as last year. He wants to stay with them in order for him to mature and to grow in the Lord before he goes back. It is a miracle. So we can say that in three months two witchdoctors have accepted Christ in Paul. Pastor Evens told me this morning that there are a lot of witchdoctors there. I am glad that they have an opportunity to disciple him and to send him back as a witness.
Another thing Pastor William Spriggs and I were talking about yesterday is to find a way to support those men for we don't do they might be tempted to go back to practice witchcraft since it was their way of making a living. I told him that he is right. Since President Preval has repaired the roads to Paul there are some taxi motorcycles that take people from Paul to the nearest town and they make money like that, I told him maybe we should think about buying each a motocycle. This maybe the concern of his wife. This motocycle costs about $1,000.00 USD. This is something to pray about.

Ralph, the former witchdoctor, now an evangelist did a good job preaching there. People expected him to tell them some secrets as to how they kill people in witchcraft. He told them if witchcraft was good he would not leave it and that he was not there to tell them about witchcraft but about the Lord Jesus how he saved him and how he wants to save them too.

Pastor William Spriggs is planning a trip there this week end. He will be going to minister to Paul for ten days. Pray for him that many will come to the saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus.
Seventeen people get baptized in water last week. As you can see there is a breakthrough in Paul. Thanks for your prayers. Please continue to pray.

The doors of opportunity are marked "Push" and "Pull." So let us push and pull for there are more souls that need to come to Christ.

For Calvary Cause,
Prosperpierre

Feb 27 - Strike the iron while it's hot!

Friends:

Greetings. I am pleased to return to you with some good and exciting news. I know more you know, better you can pray for us and tell people about the ministry there.
" And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Ro. 8:28
There is a saying here: " Bat fe a pandan li cho." Strike the iron while it's hot." Since the earthquake tragedy Haitians'hearts are sensitive to God." It seems that the majority mean business. They even stoned some voodoo worshippers who were doing voodoo ceremony. I pray that this attitude remain in them for ever so they can have real fear for God.

The power of God continues to do its course in Haiti thru the Lacroix Ministry. I told you in my previous update that I was preparing to send a group to Paul to witness since the field is ready for harvest. The young man Ralph who was converted from voodoism to Christianity four years ago has been used by God in a great manner to bring voodoo worshippers back to Him. Two weeks ago in Perisse there were 173 who have given their hearts to the Lord under his ministry during a revival.
After that I felt led by the Lord to organize the same thing in Paul a village that is in need for such a revival. I know it was going to cost but what can we give in exchange for one soul that come to Christ. A group of musicians has been hired to go there to stay for a week. Haitians don't need announcement for open air meetings. They just need to hear the music.

I was anxious for I did not hear any thing from them. Yesterday I rejoiced over the fact that 131 souls have turned to Christ this week. Two couples who were living outside of wedluck had committed themselves in marriage and several new believers received water baptism. I thank the Lord for that. There is future for this ministry there. Please pray for a Pastor there.

You remember there were three medical teams up there three weeks in a row last month. People there were motivated by this because there were people in critical condition who came to be helped. I told you that we had money given to us to build a clinic there but land has not been available. I did not want to buy land since it is not our policy to buy property. Finally they told me while I was there the last time that they need a clinic. I told them no they don't. They insisted and I insited too that they did not need a clinic. Finally I had to tell them the truth about it. Then they all decided to make this happened. Last week I made a trip there to see the property that some people wanted to give for the clinic. Yesterday they finally made it to the public notary to begin the process of turning the property over to Lacroix New Testament Mission. Now the next step is to get the property surveyed but we can start making plan for the building now because once they signed before the Notary they can't change their mind. I am afraid that the original plan that we have is already too small because the Community of Diegue (Paul) has a population of over25,000. I thank God for that great step that we made.

Our prayers now is for the Lord to equip us with a good dump truck for the work there because we have several buildings to build such as schools, clinic, church, grain mill, bakery and housing for short term medical team, teachers and Pastors. We do not want to build with cement blocks but with stones since there are many up there. That way we can use local resources to save money. There is a great potential for the clinic up there to expand like Lacroix clinic.
We also pray for God's provision.
Please pray for the new converts and for financila means to help these two born again witchdoctors.
God bless you all. Please share this email with others.
Fpr Calvary Cause,
Prosperpierre

February 14, 2010 : No Valentine's for Haitians...
Greetings. Some one asked if I preached about St valentine's today. I said no. The circumstances in which the Haitian people are now required another message. Our people are fully motivated to turn their lives completely to Christ and we don't want that spirit to die in them. We have to keep that fire burning in them.

In the revival that we held in Perisse for a week 173 souls have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. This morning we had about 8 who come to our church and they testified their new life in Christ. We are planning a discipleship class with them begining tomorrow Lord willing. Last night the altar call preceded the sermon. Fifty three come to know Christ. Praise the Lord.

Yesterday the Mission compound was crowded with families who come to get food from Diegue and Gran Dlo two localities in Paul. It was amazing to see people walk that far for food. This shows how desperate they are. We are glad to help. Some one told me during the distribution Pastor Pierre God is going to bless you for so many could do the same thing but they chose not to. I said God has already blessed me and he said God will bless you more. I told him that the credit is no mine it is for the American people who have given money for this cause.

I was touched by a woman who lost her unique daughter and child in the earthquake in Port au Prince. She took her to Dessalines on Sunday for her to take the bus. It was the last time she saw her. On Monday she called to tell them that she made it to Port au Prince OK and on the next day she was killed in the earthquake. This lady is from Grand Dlo. I wept as I sympathized with her. She cannot be comforted. There are many like her. It is a situation that we face with many families. At least several thousands are giving their hearts to God. There is great revival nationwide. I am so glad for that. I believe that God has a great surprise for the Haitians.

Someone told me how do you explain that many Christians and Pastors died while they were in Church? I replied, "They are in a better place now. They don't have to face what we are facing." Death is a gain for a christian as Apostle Paul said in Philipians 1:21. I told them I am ready to go.

There was fasting and prayer in Gran Dlo, in Diegue, in Lacoupe, Perisse and Boukan Tony join the church in Lacroix. Saved and unsaved both met for that. I thank God for this great awakening in his people.

I heard the generator running and I asked my wife why for usually we don't. She said there are so many in the church building that people even stood out side. It is very hot inside the church building. I went and experienced it for myself. It seems like people were waiting for a time like this.

The food distribution will continue this week because people are starving. They need food. Thank you for helping us meet that crucial need.

We are working on the New Perisse this time we are trying to complete the 12 houses that we have started. We want to complete them before we start another set of twelve. Again thank you for your generosity. I don't know what the Haitians would do without the generosity of the American People. Thank you so much.

Dear and Precious Friends:

Greetings. I know it's been a while since I sent you update, please accept my apology.

Beside the devastation of the earthquake some progress have been made that need your attention.

The first week of December 2009 during Pastor William Spriggs ministry in Paul, a lot of people accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. There were about 70. Among them is a witchdoctor whose name is Magre. You can pray for him. He is walking with the Lord since and he is growing in his faith. We support him financially for we don't want him to be tempted to go back to witchcraft. We are thinking about giving him a micro business to support himself. The church there is growing.

The earthquake is like a wake up call for the Haitians. Since then a lot of people have come to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior and all christians are more serious in their walk with the Lord. The attendance in church has increased considerably.

A young man 23 whose name is Ralph Raymond has become a Christian about four years ago. He was a witchdoctor. He was initiated in witchcraft at the age of 6. He is now an evangelist. I was stunned when I heard his testimony. Then I invited him to come and preach to the congregation at Lacroix. He is now preaching a revival in Perisse. I am amazed at the result. Many many have accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour beside the many who had commited their lives one more time to the Lord. His testimony help Christians understand the power that our God has. The revival started on Sunday night and up to last night there are about 100 people who have given their hearts to the Lord. This is happening nation wide. We are taking the opportunity to evangelize because people are ready . There is not a single day since the earthquake that one person does not come to Christ. As we said in our language Strike the iron while it is heart. While I am writing this update a group of people is meeting in the church to fast and pray.

Haitian President Rene Preval appointed today Feb 12 as a day of rest, the one month anniversary of the 7.0 quake that devastated Port au Prince. Immediately local church leaders added their voice for a three day fast of prayer and repentance to seek God's mercy. I believe God has inspired this national three day fast and God will answer His people with a miraculous ourtpouring of His Love. It starts today, tomorrow and Sunday.

I have never seen haitians so motivated. Wherever you go they talk about it. Even laborers come to tell me Pastor Pierre we are not coming to work on Friday and Saturday for it is a national day of prayer. People are ready for whatever God is up to. Even Patients at the clinic. I told the staff that they should come because they had given people rendez-vous. You know what they called this morning to tell me that no patients show up. Usually they would have come. This is to tell you how every one is motivated. There is no traffic either.

Earthquake is not good and the devastation is awful. Every one in particular has a finger in it one way or another. Every one is sad. Another thing that proves the sadness of the Haitians is the cancellation of the Carnaval celebrations. This is something that they don't negotiate. Those of you who have been here during carnaval can understand if they can cancel this great event the earthquake devastation has affected them greatly. God is using this event to pour his Spirit over the nation. Revival every where in the country. If the earthquake had caused more than 230.000 deaths, in a positive way it will bring more than 230,000 new souls to the Lord. People who were voodoo worshipers are and now turning to God. This is what the country needs. It is not money, it is not jobs, it is not reconstructions of houses, it is a not a new government, It is God. When God is put in place every thing will also fall in place. Mt 6:33 "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you."

I am so glad that the Nation realized that, all saved and unsaved. It is a miracle. Please continue to pray for haiti while you continue to reach them financially.

Next week we are going to start a revival in Paul because there are a lot of people who moved back from Port au Prince. Last Sunday I was in Paul for church for I wanted to experience the growth personally. Two people accepted Christ during the service. One of them was in the earthquake and she said she would like to live the rest of her life for God. I am very encouraged by what I am seeing these days. We are taking Ralph up there to preach and to witness to the people since the people there are deep in voodoo.

It took an earthquake to awake the Haitian Nation. I pray that they stay awake and the spiritual leaders keep them on their toes.

I take this time to send you this update and I ask the church permission to do that.

Thank you so much for your help.

Let me leave you with this joke:

Yesterday I asked my wife, " Why do you love me so much?" She said "you think so?" I said yes it is very evident. You love me more than ever. She laughed. I told her that is what I was looking for. I keep expressing to her how grateful I am to God for her. She stood by me during the hardest moment in my life. Her mother was very ill with a terminal disease and I was also at the same time. She choose to be by my side versus her mother. I thank God for my wife every day. I put some light on her face the other day when I saw her laying in bed during the day exausted. I said honey I am sad to see you laying in bed like that for if you die before me I'll be darned. I added who will take care of me if I get sick the way I was two years ago. She gave me a big smile.Keep the love going with your wife. She is your treasure.

God bless you all and thank you for your support.

Thank you so much. It is a lot. We will buy food to give out to the people. Food is very expensive since the earthquake and no one can afford it. A 100 lbs bag of rice went from $35.00 to $90.00 USD. Your donation to us means a lot. Thank you so much. We will send you pictures of the food distribution when it is done. Please convey our thanks and gratitude to all.
God bless.

God is great and is closer than we ever think. One could see his greatness in what happened. He is wonderful. A lot of people in Lacroix who were in Port au Prince were led to come to lacroix one day prioe to the earthquake not knowing why.It is good to be obedient. It pays to be obedient.

There is a panic spirit throughout the country with the escaped inmates. One is back in Gonaives and he was among those who were after me when I had to leave. He is circulating freely in the city of Gonaives with fire arms. It is said that one from the UN comments that this man alone worths 50 Military men. I do not think thay they would make such comment.

God uses circumstance like this to bring his people closer to him. More people come to church. Yesterday morning and evening the church was full. We are holding prayer meeting all week to awake people. It is a wake up call for many Haitians. Death is a great equalizer. Now in Port au Prince there is no rich no poor. There is no way to distinguish them. Every one is hungry. Every one is thirsty. Every one needs shelter. Many church buildings collapsed with Pastors and congregations. Many schools went down with teachers and students. Hospitals collapsed. A Minister's wife was with her sick husband in a hospital when the hospital collapsed. She is about to lose her leg. Right now she is in the operation room in Port au Prince. The shock has caused her husband to be on his feet now to take care of her. Their house collapsed as well. Thank God the children were with their grand mother who contributed to their survival.

After church yesterday I went to take a nap thing I usually don't do. I woke up after half an hour. My wife told me, "I am glad you wake up because you never know when there will be another quake." She said that because every night she has felt earthquake but I don't.

Last night my wife told me that she was not going to sleep on the second floor because there has been earthquake every night since Tuesday January 12. Unfortunately I do not feel them. The only one I felt was the first one. She said others experienced the same too. I said, "Honey I don't know but since I shook hand with Mr Death two years ago, I am not afraid of him. I am ready to die any time. She thinks that I am funny. I told her if earthquake is the way it was planned for us to go, we had no choice about it. She didn't know where to spend the night. Finally she decided to stay where she was. I asked her this morning if she felt earthquake she said no.

It is sad that Haitians are blocking Haitians. Gas is being sold in the black market $15.00 USD a gallon. It is unbelievable. I will not buy it. With the climate of insecury on the rise since several thousand inmates escaped, it is better for some one to stay home if there is no necessity to go out. There is no electricity. Our back up power has been on and this is what I am using. I don't know how far it will go. The power has been off since the earthquake on Tuesday afternoon. It was back on Wednesday evening thru Thursday morning and since then it's been off. So far we have no access to fuel whatsoever.

The tap-tap drivers raised up their fare and no one said any thing about it. You would think haitians would try to help one another but it is the contrary. God have mercy.
Saturday evening four people stopped here for help. They were on their way to Cap Haitian. Some people leave Port au Prince with no destination. There is a great exodus. They are asking people not to come to Port au Prince because those who survived the earthquake are leaving. There is no food, no water, no housing for them. people have been on the streets afraid that the earthquake might occurr again and it has been doing from time to time.

The country is dead. Port au Prince stinks and they don't know for how long. Some people are under debris of the tall buildings and were able to send text message to their friends and loved ones but no one can come to their rescue.

My friend Lucien known as Boss Bibi that some of you know lost his unique daughter in the event. During the climate of insecurity one of his sons was slain. Last year his wife died. Life has been hectic for him.
Now you know how to pray for the country.
For His cause.
Prosperpierre

Sunday 1/17/2010

Dear Friends:

Greetings. Thanks a lot for your prayers. We need them as we stand to comfort those who had lost their loved ones in the earthquake. Many in Lacroix had their loved ones in Port au Prince. Some of them left after the hurricane Jeanne hit Gonaives in 2004 and others left after the three hurricanes in a row hit Haiti and in particular Gonaives and Lacroix. There is a lesson that they learn today; that is, "Never run away for problems." Most of the time, "It's only to jump from the fry pan into the fire." There were more people from Lacroix who were living in Port au Prince that I had knowledge of. Today all over Lacroix people are mourning. I have an non-church gathering that is scheduled for tomorrow at 2:00 PM that I put off in order to sympathize with the mourners. Among them are a lot of people from Perisse.

My wife went to Gonaives today to visit people who have lost their loved ones in Port au Prince. Our driver, Antonio, has lost his daughter who was going to College. She went to do some copies and the building collapsed on her. Her body has not been found yet. It is believed that she is still under debris. A very good friend of mine who is also from Lacroix lost his wife. A building contractor who had done work for us in Gonaives had lost his son who is an engineer when the house he was working on collapsed. Our mechanic Guercy lost his brother -in-law. Many more are still missing. Some one told me this morning that now one can count the houses that are left in Port au prince. Carrefour a suburb located south of Port au Prince is completely destroyed. Some people were walking when houses collapsed on them. Some were even in their cars when debris cover them.

The city of Port au Prince stinks with the dead bodies. Some one told me that they were talking about the devastation of Jeanne in 2004 and the three hurricanes in 2008, this one has no precedent. Port au Prince is finished. People are starving having no food and waters. Some people are vandalizing. They become very wicked. They are killing people with fire arms and machetes. It could be those people who escaped from prison when the prison collapsed.

The bad news is this an inmate known as Ti Will originally from Gonaives who had caused all the unrest in this town in the early 2000s escaped and with guns in hand he is leading demonstration in the city of Gonaives. He was one of those responsible for my name on the hit list in 2003. I hope the authorities capture him as soon as possible. He is not hiding he is circulating freely in the city. This is a prayer request.

I am not afraid. No, not at all. I told people that when I realized it was an earthquake, I was not scared because Death and I we shook hands two years ago when I was facing him. Therefore we know each other. It is a joke. In the middle of turmoil you have to laugh and make others laugh. I am using the same old saying to comfort people "Rather be ugly but alive."

People start coming back to Gonaives and to Lacroix. Those who have left for problems. In general every one who migrated in Port au Prince is heading back where they come from. Every thing is completely dead. No activities. No electricity, no cell phones service. Thank God we are in Lacroix we have water in the wells that we have access to. So far we have food though we don't know for how long because whatever food they have left in the stores are either stolen and sold in the black market or it is under debris. In our area that is to say L'Estere people can still buy food but very expensive. Now fuel is being sold in the black market. Pastor Wisner told me that he could not find gas for his motorcycle. It reminds me back in the early 90s during the embargo, I almost pay $100.00 Hts for a gallon of diesel.

Several banks building are down in Port au Prince and thus banks in the province are not affected but they are paralyzed because of the bank central. There is no access to funds. Someone who was building a chateau was stunned to see the building flat on the ground. He asked where is my million? Another one answered right on the ground. He was serious and not in irony.

This is the situation. Please continue to pray.

In his service,

Prosperpierre

Update as of 1/15/10

Dear Friends:

This is a quotation from a friend. This can give you an idea of the situation.

I went to several areas and I can tell you that at least ½ of all multistory buildings collapsed, including the National Palais,
Palais de Justice, so many schools, Hotel Montana, Hotel Carib, Hotel Christopher (UN Headquarters), Caribbean Market,
other government buildings, main penitentiary (most of the >5,000 inmates escaped), business buildings, and thousands of homes
… still thousands under the buildings, road blocked due to debris, a major lack of water, no phone communication, no public power,

almost no public transportation, no gasoline, etc.

I seen thousands of corpse left on each site of the streets, so far the Government unable to bring them away and a high risk

of other diseases coming along soon. Ten thousands survived left Port-au-Prince on foot or whatever vehicle was available.

Port-au-Prince is no longer as you might know ... I don’t have any word … just silence and prayer.

In the meanwhile we got some update from the provinces … there are major issues also in Jacmel, Bainet, Leogane, Petit Goaves,
and Carbarete.

God works in mysterious way often beyond our imagination. We can't question him for who are we to question God. Usually the teams that come to lacroix always arrives in the afternoon and not in the morning. Good News Gathering from Hillsboro, OH arrived at 8:50 AM on American Airlines in Port au Prince on January 12 as scheduled. Their flight was on time. But some of their luggage did not make it. I took the tags and left them in the care of some friends to receive the lboxes when they arrive. We made it to Lacroix early afternoon and they began to plan their work activities in order to start. I had some plumbing assignment for them and the men began to look for what they need to perform the task.

It was between 4 and 5 PM while I was in the bath room that I feel the room shaky. At first I thought it was some heavy equipment that was going by that caused the building to shake but it did not take time for me to realize that it was an earthquake. Any I said Lord I am in your hand.

We thank God that no damage was done to the buildings and every one was safe. We thank God for protecting our visiting guests. They think it was ideal for them to leave and somehow they had managed to leave via the Dominican Republic. Every thing went well. I was back to lacroix around 8:30 PM after I dropped them in the city border.

You know I have wondered what could have happened if they had arrived during the earthquake or after. It would have been scary. God knew that the rearthquake was going to be and he cause the group to schedule their trips months ahead to get to Port au Prince in the morning.

God is good.

Right now Port au prince is stink with the corpse on the ground. and those that are still onder the debris. It is a great coup for the country. They were talking about 2004 when jeanne hit Gonaives and tow years ago when three hurrcianes in a row hit people said now compare tho this earthquake those were nothing. Two year ago they said the same thing when the trhee hurricanes hit. Please pray.

God bless
