David and Damaris Beam

The Father’s House has supported David and Damaris Beam for over 20 years. They are engaged in evangelism and improving the living conditions for the very poor in Guatemala. They are also very involved in their church.

Recently we increased our giving to help two children from the railroad tracks area, Bryan and Sandy, go to a Christian school.

David tells us, “Bryan is a good boy that has lived on the Tracks for a year, as his mother is renting a small house there.

Sandy and her sister and two brothers live along the Tracks with their  mom who is a widow and is searching for work, so our help makes it possible for her to go to school, otherwise she wouldn’t be able to.”

We also sent the money necessary to build a home there.

David writes:

“I can never get used to people living in small shacks made of pieces of wood and tin. That’s why I began “The Shack Attack.” My desire is to build houses of cement blocks and iron rebar to make them earthquake proof. …So far we’ve built 17 homes along the Tracks.”

The Beams are part of “Missionary Ventures” an organization that supports the development of churches, schools, feeding centers, clinics, and much more in over fifty countries.
